So, after sixty years, Filipino Veterans of WWII finally get some recognition and compensation. But, it’s not adequate, in my opinion, think about it? $15,000 if you are a citizen of the USA, and $9,000 if you are non-citizen. It’s a part of the stimulus bill, which I’m not sure why – this should have been allocated a while ago, and these veterans who most are probably deceased, now finally get a nod of recognition that they fought with a paltry lump sum payment. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
