About Me

Professionally, I work in a journalism library within a larger university.  My academic focus is on research trends, diversity and leadership, and media and cultural studies. I co-authored the book “Using Twitter to Build Communities: A Primer for Librarians, Archives, and Museums.” (Rowman and Littlefield). I am currently the past-chair of the American Library Association’s Ethnic and Multicultural Information Exchange Roundtable (ALA EMIERT). Personally, I love to indulge in my favorites (in no particular order): my baby boy (new mom alert!) culture (libraries, books, museums), baseball (Mets!), bourbon (or wine), food (carbs and sweets are my weakness), live music, binge-watching tv, capturing the moment (a picture for every moment) and traveling (need to do that more!)
